WEST OC

This team season is for all levels of play.  This is often a player's first time playing lacrosse and can be put on teams with experienced players.  Experienced players are encourage to introduce friends to the sport and join them in helping them learn how to play.

We will form teams to play against other cities in the OCLAX League Season.  Exact age groups are determined by number of participants register for our organization, but it is typically formed by grade, with some grades combining.  We will initially attempt to form teams accordingly:  8th, 7th, 6th, 5th, 3/4th

Times | 

3:30 - 5:00pm for the first few weeks while daylight is impacted.

Location | 

Huntington Beach High School, Huntington Beach, CA 92648  

(Grass field "Cage" (fenced in) between Track and Varsity Baseball Field).  

Coaches | 

Head Coach - Sarah Shada (current Huntington Beach HS Varsity Coach; started and coached Petaluma HS for 6 years; coached Breakers youth lacrosse in 2022).

Assistant Coaches - Local High School Varsity Players.

GAMES |
Spring Games will start on weekends in late March or early April and will end at the end of May.  Games can be played on Saturday or Sunday and are typically played in Irvine (Irvine HS or OC Great Park), but may also be played in other areas of OC (anywhere from YL to San Clemente).

IT IS CRITICAL TO LET US KNOW AT THE TIME OF REGISTRATION IF YOU ARE NOT AVAILABLE FOR ANY GAME WEEKENDS!  

Please know there are two steps to register.  One step is now with us (OC Lacrosse).  The other step is a waiver process (no cost), completed closer to when games start with the League (OCLAX).  

Cost | 

$50 Uniform Fee used for Winter & Spring (includes Reversible and Shorts)

$275 For Winter Registration Only.

$499 for Winter and Spring together (save $50) - We will. have a discount code for Spring Registration.

Additionally, all participants must be a current USA Lacrosse member ($30 annually).  Our registration system will guide you through this process if you do not have, or need to renew, a USA Lacrosse membership.

Equipment can be rented through the registration process, Girls $25.

All  players receive a reversible (female participants must wear something (tee shirt,  tank top, sports bra, etc.) underneath the reversible in which they feel comfortable switching colors quickly at the field).
